NC recently held its first-ever FRC Kick-Off Event on January 9, 2010. 

Hosted by Penske Technologies Groups, 20 teams were represented that morning.  After a tour of Penske Racing, teams gathered in the auditorium to watch the broadcast.  Initial reactions to the game were positive and excited!  We had several corporate guests in attendance including Susan Leepson from Time Warner Cable, Tom Jacobik from Google, representatives from JC Penney, and more!

The Robot Quick Build that afternoon was a huge success.  Nine teams worked to build, wire and program the kit chassis with the assistance of Team  2483, The Clawbotz from Fayetteville.  In addition, several mentors from Ingersoll Rand were around to jump in and help the RBQ leaders Steve Janesch (electronics), Tom Settle (programming) and Quinn Wagner (mechanical).
